Insider's Picks

International travel may be put on pause, but that doesn’t stop us from finding the best ways to wind down. From hotel getaways, to the best camping views, pack your bags because our lululemon Insiders are sharing their favourite staycations and best gear to pack along with.

L: Andrew Polins | Vice President, Global Production
R: Anthea Look | Brand & Community Manager

Hotel staycations are all about kicking back and relaxing. For a day of lounging in the room, Andrew’s top pick are the Intent Joggers that give him room to move in comfort. “These soft and sweat-wicking pants allow me to move freely. They’re also perfect for low impact workouts in case I want to squeeze a quick sweat in the hotel gym.” Take a tip from him and throw on the Fleece Back Softshell for chillier days in.

Venturing out of the hotel could do the legs some good too. Anthea loves bringing along her Rain Rebel Jacket that is waterproof (sweat-wicking too!) - best for exploring around the neighbourhoods too. She pairs it with her much loved Align Pant to take on the urban vacation — spa and brunch included!

L: Benny Wu | Buyer
R: Eunbee Kim | Community Connector

Feel liberated by breaking away from connectivity. The countryside has a plethora of retreats, like The Tai O Heritage Hotel.

Countryside retreat warrant both indoor and outdoor activities. For that, we’re thinking layered tops, long sleeves and breathable fabrics. Our Insiders recommend the Down For It All series that are available for both men and women. “You want to pick a jacket that provides lightweight warmth and versatile so you’re always ready for a temperature or weather change,” says Eunbee. She layers her jacket with the Rest Less Pullover for a fashionable but comfortable outfit.

Benny, on the other hand, packs his Engineered Warmth Jogger so he’s ready for any activity under the sun.

All packed up and ready to rumble? Our insiders highly recommend going with a Cruiser backpack with built-in pockets for a quick weekend getaway.

L: Tim Campbell-Scott | Area Director
R: Yoshie Tajima | Brand Manager

Camping is something Yoshie and Tim love to do on their days off. They take advantage of the cool temperatures to soak in the great outdoors — ever tried Sai Kung and Cheung Chau?

Hiking and camping outdoors can sometimes work a sweat so Yoshie loves pairing her lightweight Adapted State Jogger (plus points for deep side pockets that are great for storage), together with her Wunder Puff Jacket. “I love the water-repellent Glyde™ Fabric and the cinchable waist and hem of the jacket,” says Yoshie.

The best hikes in Hong Kong are done by tackling stunning peaks. Tim doesn’t go anywhere without his Surge Warm ½ Zip, which is abrasion resistant and sweat-wicking. Layered with a Navigation Down Vest, he looks sleek and stylish while keeping warm in the wind or rain.
